Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Developer with 5+ years of expertise to lead
the development of our React Native mobile application. Should be able to collaborate
with an Agile team to deliver iterative mobile increments across multiple sprints. With a
focus on performance scalability and user experience. Need to implement features
like membership management IoT data syncing push notifications and community
tools ensuring parity with the web platform.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Development: Design develop and maintain the React Native mobile
app for iOS and Android implementing all project features of the project
Feature Implementation: Build mobile-specific UI/UX and integrate with backend
APIs.
Collaboration: Work closely with Frontend Developers (React.js) for code reuse
Backend Developers for API integration UI/UX Designer for mobile designs QA
Engineer for testing and DevOps for deployment.
Optimization: Ensure app performance (e.g. real-time IoT data s via
Redis) security (e.g. MFA data privacy) and cross-platform compatibility.
Testing & Debugging: Write unit tests assist QA with end-to-end testing and
resolve bugs identified during sprints.
Deployment: Coordinate with DevOps to deploy the app to AWS (e.g. via S3) and
app stores (Google Play App Store).
Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for mobile features and
contribute to user guides for launch.

Education/Experience

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years in mobile app development with at least 4 years using
React Native for iOS and Android.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in React Native JavaScript/TypeScript and mobile UI frameworks.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs
Familiarity with payment gateways (e.g. Stripe) and OAuth flows (e.g.
Fitbit API).
Knowledge of state management (e.g. Redux) and caching (e.g. Redis integration).
Understanding of push notification systems (e.g. Firebase Cloud Messaging - FCM).
Exposure to AWS services (e.g S3 CloudFront) for app deployment.
Agile Experience: Proven track record in Agile/Scrum environments participating in sprint planning stand-ups and reviews.
Cross-Platform Development: Strong skills in building responsive performant apps for both iOS and Android.
Collaboration: Ability to work with a distributed team aligning mobile efforts with web development (React.js).
Problem-Solving: Experience debugging complex mobile issues (e.g. IoT data sync failures payment errors).
Education: Bachelor&rsquo s degree in computer science Engineering or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

&bull Familiarity with MongoDB for data queries for backend collaboration.
&bull Knowledge of gamification mechanics in mobile apps (e.g. points badges).
&bull Previous work on wellness/health-focused apps or subscription-based
platforms.
