Simulation Application Engineer – SOLIDWORKS

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Simulation Application Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional Presales Demonstrations, conducting Customer Qualifications, and providing expert Post-sales Training and Onboarding for our clients using the SOLIDWORKS Simulation Portfolio. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with both customers and internal teams to ensure that our clients fully understand, implement, and leverage the SOLIDWORKS Simulation tools to meet their engineering needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Presales Demonstrations:
  • Lead interactive, technical, and engaging presales demonstrations of SOLIDWORKS Simulation tools to prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and tailor demonstrations to specific client requirements.
  • Highlight key features and benefits of the SOLIDWORKS Simulation portfolio, including structural, thermal, fluid flow, and motion analysis tools.
  • Respond to customer queries during demonstrations and provide technical insights to drive decision-making.
  1. Customer Qualifications:
  • Conduct technical discussions and assessments with potential customers to evaluate their specific simulation needs and technical requirements.
  • Determine the suitability of the SOLIDWORKS Simulation tools for various customer applications and help them identify the best solutions.
  • Provide feedback and collaborate with the sales and product teams to address customer needs and overcome technical barriers.
  1. Post-Sales Customer Training & Onboarding:
  • Develop and deliver training sessions, both virtually and on-site, to customers on how to use the SOLIDWORKS Simulation tools effectively.
  • Provide comprehensive onboarding support to new customers, ensuring they are fully equipped to use SOLIDWORKS Simulation tools to their advantage.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and provide timely and effective solutions to ensure successful simulation implementation.
  • Offer post-sales support to ensure the customer’s continuous satisfaction and successful integration of simulation software into their workflow.
  1. Collaboration and Feedback:
  • Work closely with the product management and development teams to communicate customer feedback and help shape the future development of the SOLIDWORKS Simulation tools.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of SOLIDWORKS products, industry trends, and simulation technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of the field.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including best practices, FAQs, training materials, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide regular updates to management on customer progress, feedback, and the success of presales and post-sales activities.
  1. Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor for their simulation needs.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, resolving any issues or concerns that arise throughout the sales and onboarding process.

Education/Experience

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong understanding of SOLIDWORKS Simulation tools, including SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium, Flow Simulation, and Motion Analysis.
  • Previous experience in presales, technical support, or application engineering roles is a plus.
  • Experience with simulation software applications in engineering design and analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, as needed (both domestic and international).
  • Previous experience delivering technical training or customer onboarding is a plus.
